When and where you made it

What was the results

And explain why it was a good decision

雅思口语Part2

The good decision I made recently is to quit my unhealthy diet. I am a big fan of sweet food including all kinds of desserts and soft drinks. In recent years, the popularization of bubble tea in China have also made young generations more addicted to sweet food and even a high sugar diet. However, I have a slim body shape because I do exercise every day. Plus, due to my young age, I always believe my metabolism is high enough to burn these calories.

The reason I made such decision is that my annual physical examination report shows my visceral fat level was about to reach the warning line. That totally surprised me because related disease such as fatty liver is usually found on middle aged people. For health concern, I decided to quit drinking bubble tea and intake as little sugar as possible. Executing the decision was much harder than I thought. With less sugar in my diet, I often feel a lack of energy and become emotionally unstable. Sugar can promote the secretion of dopamine in the body and make your body addicted to it. After realizing this concept, I adjusted my plan to a more gradual pace, removing the amount of sugar from my diet bit by bit. After persisting for the past few months, I can clearly feel less relied on sugar. I am glad that I have made such a good decision that gives me a healthier life.

雅思口语Part3

1  What kind of decision do people make every day?
People make all kinds of decisions every day. For example, what to eat for lunch, should I drive to work or take public transportation and so on. There are countless decisions we made subconsciously which constitutes our daily life.

2  At what age do children start to make decision?
Even babies make decisions. The most common one is that their parents hand two toys to them and let them pick one, which should be defined as a decision. But in terms of actual decisions that related to their life, I would say about teenage because at that age children start to build up their outlook.

3  Will what children decide affect their future?
Definitely, every decision a child made will have a slight influence on parents’ perception on him. Similar to butterfly effect, those small effects will accumulate through years and finally result in a huge impact on the child’s future.

4  Does making decision from a small age benefit one on other things in later life?
Most likely. Authorizing the duty of making decision to a child makes him learn responsibility at an earlier age. No matter what the result is, the kid would have an understanding of the correlation between decision making and the consequence he need to face

5  What’s the difference between the decisions made in childhood and after growing up?
Decision made in childhood are more likely based on emotion or innocent ideas whereas adults would consider more about realistic problems. A prime example is money. Children have a vaguer recognition in value while cost is one of the most important factors grown-ups considers when making decisions.

6  Why do people change their mind?
There could be various reasons for people to change their mind. For example, they found the former decision they made is not feasible. As time goes or the change of circumstances, the perspective of an individual may alter, which also can lead to a change of their mind.

7  Does changing the decision mean that what the one did originally fails?
That would largely depend on the perspective you look into this problem. Although the effort you made for the former decision might be wasted, you have learnt a possible alternative which may work in other circumstances and the reasons behind. The value of critical thinking should outweigh the result of past failure.

8  Some people think it difficult to make decision, why? (Why there are people who are afraid of making decisions?)
I suppose the decision they need to make is so critical that a bad result may cause them to pay a heavy price. However, there are people who born with such hesitant characteristic. These people even have difficulty in deciding what to eat for each meal.

9  How to make a better decision?

The most essential factor of making a good decision is to gain as much knowledge for that decision as possible. With more knowledge, you would have a higher chance to make rational decisions through thorough analyses.
