I’d like to talk about cutting the use ofplastic bags which was enacted since 2008. Because of the convenience ofplastic bags, in the past, people nearly used it everywhere. They wereindispensable in our daily life. However, the public started to realize the badinfluence of plastic bags on the environment. And the government decided toreduce the use of it. At that time, it was headline news. Almost everyonetalked about the laws, my parents, neighbors, and strangers. It was hard for meto neglect this law. It had an essential influence on our daily life. Forexample, people needed to carry a paper bag or cloth bag instead of beingprovided plastic bags by the supermarket; the production of plastic bagsreduced sharply and factories had to make changes. After performing so manyyears, the effect of this law is still controversial. But I always believe thislaw makes contributions to the society. we can’t deny the fact that since theenacting of this law, the public started to have the awareness of environmentalprotection and many people devote themselves to protecting the environment. Andthanks to this law, the use of plastic bags is indeed reduced more or less. Atleast, my family will carry a cloth bag when shopping rather than using plasticbags.

a man with a warm heart and integrity.Because policeman is the role to protect good people and punish the bad guy. Sothey have to be willing to help others and can distinguish right from wrong withoutbeing bribing.

Of course. I don’t have any prejudice aboutmen and women. In some situations, women even can do better than men. Forexample, female are good at persuading and they can persuade criminals to stopcommitting crimes.

3.   Do you think the police salary is high?Why?

Maybe not, at least in China. because asfar as I know, as a public servant, they usually have a relatively low salary.But their job is quite stable and they can enjoy very well welfare provide bythe government.

4.   Do you think kindness is an importantquality to be a police? Why?

Definitely. If a police is kind, he/shewould like to help others and other people will feel free to ask him/her forhelp.

5.   What role does law play in society?

I think it’s like the frame of the society.all of us must live inside the frame without breaking it. This frame tells uswhat we should do and what we can’t do.

6.   lf there were no lows, what do you thinksociety would be like?

There must be wars and fights. Becausehuman are selfish and each of us wants to get as much resources as possible.Without laws, people will fight with others in order to get things they want.

7.   Can you give any examples of what isillegal in China?

Killing a person or robbing, something likethat. In our daily life, exceeding the speed limit when driving or drunk driveis illegal as well.

8.   Many people think that an occasional andminor breach of the law is fine. What do you think?

I don’t think so. since there is a law, allof us should obey it strictly. If an occasional and minor breach of the law isfine, then people will have the excuses to break the law.
