Describe an activity youdo to stay healthy. You should say:

what you do;

when you started doing it;

how much time you spenddoing it;

and explain how thisactivity helps you stay healthy.

I’d like to talk about swimming which is my favorite activity tokeep fit now. I was almost drowned when I was little so I do not enjoy being inthe water in the past. But I wanted to overcome my fear of water. And it wasdefinitely a challenge for me. I learned it in a health club and practiced fromwatching some swimming videos. I started off in the shallow end, where I couldtouch my feet to the bottom. When I felt more comfortable, I went to the deepend. Now I am not that good at it but I conquered my fear of water and I goswimming at least once a week. It becomes a part of my schedule. Swimming is agreat exercise and it is low impact if I can overcome the fear of water. I feelit’s refreshing, it doesn't stress my knees or ankles as much as other sports,and it works every muscle in my body. It's an intense workout, but at the sametime the water is relaxing and stress-relieving

1.     Do people know about the way you stay healthy you just mention? Why?

Yes. Swimming is a well-known means of keeping healthy and mostpeople like to keep fit by swimming. In China, many people will go to swimmingpool, especially in summer. They think it is easy and enjoyable.


2.     How do we teach children to keep healthy in school?

We will teach and encourage them to do some sports, such as playingbasketball, doing some morning exercises.


3.     Do you think Chinese have a lot of pressure? Why?

Yes, I think so. For children, they have heavy burden from study andthey have endless lessons and homework. For young people, they struggle to finda decent job in the competitive workplace. And for the old, they have to takecare of their grandchildren.


4.     Do you think there are some sort of relationship between highpressure work and health? Why?

Of course. If a person has a high pressure job, he will be unhealthyboth physically and psychologically. Because they always keep intense and haveno time to do sports to relax.


5.     Do you think Chinese take good care of their body?

No, they don’t, but things are getting better nowadays. Chinesepeople, especially young people pay little attention to their health. Andmiddle-aged persons and the old care more about their health.


6.     Do you think elder people are care more about health than youngergeneration?

Yes. I think it is because they are getting closer to death, so theycar more about health so that they can live as longer as they wish. While youngpeople think they are so healthy and strong that they don’t need to keephealthy on purpose


7.     What`s the different between man and women when they trying to keepfit? Why?

Maybe men will do sports to keep themselves healthy, while women arenot interested in sports as men, so they choose to eat healthily.

8.      How does teenager stayhealthy?

For teenager, they always do sports likeplaying basketball, football, climbing mountains and so on so forth to keep fit
