2019-01-23Describe a piece of goodnews you heard from someone you know.
You should say: what itwas about;
who you heard it from;
when and where you gotthis news;
and explain how you feltwhen you got the good news.
I’d like to talk about a good news that I received a couple of weeksago.
My best friend told me that she’s pregnant, and would get marriedsoon.
I didn’t expect it. So when she told me about it, I was sosurprised. I was so happy for her.
if I remember correctly. That’s a Sunday. She gave me a call, andinvited me to a restaurant to have lunch with her and her boyfriend. So laterwe met at that place. While we were having the lunch, she broke the news. Sheexcitedly told me that she’s going to be mom soon, and their wedding was a weeklater.
At that moment, I didn’t know what to say. I thought it’s just aSunday meeting. I didn’t see that coming. I congratulated her, and sent my bestwishes.
Then I learnt she got some other plans. She showed three traintickets then told me she needed my help to choose the wedding dress. Of course,I was willing to help. So in the rest of the day, we went to Su Zhou, a citynext to Shang Hai, to buy things for her wedding.
It’s the best news I received in recent years. She’s my best friend,and now she’s married to a good man, and will have a baby soon. Now she must bethe happiest person in the world. as a friend, of course, I feel so happy forher. I hope she has the best life.
