The environmentfriendly person I am going to tell you is my grandma. She is already 83 yearsold, but quite healthy. Every morning after breakfast, she takes a walk in apark nearby, which usually lasts an hour. In the evening, she would sit infront off the house and chat with other old ladies.

The way sheprotects the environment is quite simple. She insists to bring her own clothbag to the supermarket to buy some vegetables on her way home from the walk sothat she will not need the plastic bags. A year ago, she did not do that. Sheloved to use the plastic bags because they are light and convenient. But when Itold her that plastic bags are almost impossible to dissolve in nature and cankill animals when they accidentally eat them, her behavior changed. Now,wherever she goes, she will take her cloth bag.

Giving up plasticbags and using a cloth bag instead is quite an easy way to protect theenvironment, but insistence is another thing. Even though we know how harmfulplastic is to the environment, sometimes we would still use it because of itsconvenience.

That is why Iadmire my grandma. She never forget to bring her cloth bag. If everybodybehaves like her, I believe our environment issue will be significantlyalleviated in a short time.

Of course not.Plastic bags are made of non-renewable resources, either petroleum or naturalgas. They don’t break down in landfill sites, but over time they releasedangerous chemicals.

Sure, big companyhave their public influence. If they pay attention to the environmentprotection, the public will follow them.

I think thecaustic soda, cement, dye intermediaries and oil refineries can do harm to ourenvironment. they may throw the waste into the environment in the form of gas,liquid or solid.

The governmentcan protect environment by reducing pollution, reducing the amount of wastesent to landfill, protecting areas of parkland, wildlife reserves and marinebiodiversity, and enforcing regulations that keep our water and air clean.
