　　【学生意见】a. 没必要，大就得deal with this problem。宿舍也很远，住宿舍的人也会有这种问题，可人也都每天拿书跑来跑去的。如果给commuter students建student lounge，那不就不公平了。(Why should they get special treatment? 原话)。再说了，library里也有locker的，真的需要可以到那里去放书。b. 有其他方法查询这些信息，比如到网站上去查，或者直接打电话给train station。

　　校报计划添加一些关于校园广告的学生职位。R: The school newspaper is planning to add some information about off-campus advertisements for students .

　　L: The woman totally agrees with the plan.

　　1) Nowadays, the jobs are not enough to satisfy the demands of students. The advertisements can increase the job opportunities. (Using an example of herself in her first semester.) When she first came to the school, she could not find any off-campus job. Because some jobs were already taken by other students and she also did not know how to find a suitable job, especial when she was a freshmen. So the advertisements will offer the information and help students a lot.

　　2) The off-campus advertisements could offer students more related-work in the students' future career. (Using an example of her friend who want to be a lawyer). One of her friend wants to be a lawyer but works at a bookstore now, if she see the ads on the newspaper, she could find a job in law offices which can be an good experience in her resume and help her future career.

　　【解决方案】：男生建议：1、离quiz还有1个小时，他可以把他的NOTES借给她看，但女生说现在得去一个朋友那帮她复习化学，不行。2、可以跟教沟通，要求延期考试。女生估计没戏，因为她上节课旷课。描述女生遇到的困难，女生给的两个建议，你的建议及理由。

　　Problem (woman's): There are only one hour left before the quiz, but because the woman absent for the last class, she does not know the test. And there're a lot of notes in the last class.

　　Solutions(by the man):

　　(1)She can review the notes that the man took, but the woman says that she have to help another friend to review the Chemistry course. She cannot break her promise.

　　(2)To talk about it to the professor and ask the professor to excuse for not having the quiz, but the woman also said that the professor will probably not allow because it is the only quiz for this course.

　　The reading passage introduces a definition of adaptive reuse, which means some abandoned building but with historical value can be reused and given new functions. The professor used to work in an architecture company. He converted an old chocolate factory into a concert hall successfully. The factory had agreat exterior with historical value and it also maintained its main structure,which was perfect to be transformed into a hall. Also, because of its great height and inside ceiling, it was good for audience to listen to the music while enjoying the beautiful view of the city through large windows.文章介绍了一种自适应复用的定义，即一些废弃的建筑物，但具有历史价值，可以重复使用，并赋予新的功能。教授过去在一建筑公司工作。他成功地把一个古老的巧克力工厂改建成了音乐厅。工厂有一个外部的历史价值和它还持着它的主要结构，这是完全被转化成一个大厅。此外，由于它的高度和内部天花板，它是好的观众听音乐，同时欣赏城市的美景，通过大窗口。
