学校行为类的题材屡见不鲜,具体到必修课类更是反复出现。

本题属于中等难度题,一定要牢记,反驳远比支持好写,因为支持端所对应到的必修课程内容从支持的角度来写,不论是维度、尺度还是角度均不好把控。

虽然我们必须承认基础科学课是有一定的必要性的,因为会联系到他学科的学习,但同样的道理,学习其他课程也能学到基础科学知识。

应该必修

基础的科学课可以应用到日常生活当中,帮助解决生活中的问题。在基础科学课中的物理化学知识,比如在着火的时候,不应该一开始打开窗户,更多的氧气涌入会加剧火势。在油燃烧着火的情况下,不应该用水扑灭,因为油会浮在水上面,无法起到灭火作用。这些知识可以帮我们在日常生活中避免危险,或者在危险中自救。

基础科学课可以更好地培养我们的思维方式。比如数学课程,通过严密的逻辑推理论证,可以帮我们锻炼逻辑思考能力,在之后的课程学习和日常生活问题处理中都非常有用。

虽然在大学生的必修课中再增加基础科学课会加重学业负担,但是因为基础科学课的知识是和其他科目相关,所以学习了基础科学课之后,可以提高其他科目的学习效率

Nowadays, students study a wide range of subjects and disciplines in universities; however,basic science courses are on the decline and are routinely merged with other subjects suchas engineering. Traditionalists argue that young people should know the nature of the worldand the evolution of human beings, and thus basic science courses should be compulsory for all students, regardless of their majors. I disagree with this view, as the proposition isproblematic.

First and foremost, the compulsory study of basic science will put more pressure onstudents and eat into their precious time. College students already study theoretical and professional courses, and their schedules are already very tight. For instance, ahistory-related student is obliged to complete a great number of readings for credits, andacquire several projects per semester. Students with such a heavy workload cannot afford tostudy irrelevant courses, such as basic science courses. Such situation will unnecessarilyburden students and jeopardize studies, exacerbating their worries about meeting multipledeadlines and passing final exams.

Next, the requirement to study basic science courses leads to unnecessary cost for parentsand students. Universities will need to recruit personnel, including administrative staff andlecturers or professors to deliver the lectures and tutorials, which will increase the cost ofschooling. Those costs will be passed onto the student and will be reflected in higher tuitionfees, depriving many underprivileged students of an opportunity to attend university. Also,textbooks of basic science cost students a lot, leading to another problem about fees. Takeone of the most famous universities in the world, UCSD, for example. Usually, basic sciencecourses change textbooks every year, and a black-white 200-page basic biology book willcost students 320 dollars. As a result of this, setting basic science courses as compulsoryones will cost a lot of unnecessary cost for students and their parents.

Admittedly, studying basic science is somehow beneficial for young people. Students willgain an understanding of how the world forms and works. Also, students may gain a betterunderstanding of current course issues by studying basic rules. For instance, students willlearn about mathematical information and apply such materials into physical and chemicalfields However, by the same token, knowledge from basic science courses can be gained by studying other compulsory courses.

In conclusion, although there are a few benefits to studying basic science courses, it wouldbe unfair to burden a student both academically and financially.
