今天进入到文学类的话题，托福的文章中，文学类题材的背景常会以好几种形式出现，例如按纵向时间划分，以某个时期的文学流派为主，常出现中世纪的诗歌或英雄故事、17-18世纪的现实主义文学；横向地区划分，会讨论不同地区流行的不同文学流派或者某一个流派在不同地区的发展；介绍特定作家的文章则会专注其具有代表性的一或两个作品。这些都是常见的几种展开方式，那就赶紧来看看文学类的生词吧！

为了拿到一篇阅读或者听力文章的时候快速了解讨论的对象，首先我们要了解目前已有的文学作品中，大致的题材类型及其特点：
